A foggy winter morning welcomed nearly 600 devotees of YSS and other guests who came from across Gurugram, Delhi and Noida to attend the Sunday satsanga with Swami Vishwananda at YSS Noida Ashram on February 10, 2019.

Swami Nityananda lit the lamp at the opening of the spiritual programme, which was followed by the singing of chants serenading Gurudeva that drew almost all present in the loving repetition of the name of the divine. After the chants and meditation, Swami Vasudevananda introduced and welcomed Swami Vishwananda.

Swami Vishwananda began his satsanga with the words: "Where else in the world do you see such bright and joyous faces!" Leading the devotees through a prayer, Swamiji encouraged them to open their hearts and feel love and devotion for Guruji.

In the satsanga, he largely focused on the recent release of the New Lessons by YSS/SRF President Sri Sri Swami Chidananda Giri. He said that our Guruji was given this task by our line of Gurus - to spread these teachings. These teachings are the new dispensation. The new Lessons are a culmination of many incidents that have been narrated in the Autobiography of a Yogi. The promises of Bhagawan Krishna, Jesus Christ, Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya and Swami Sri Yukteswar have been fulfilled by Guruji, and later through Sri Sri Daya Mataji and Sri Sri Mrinalini Mataji through these New Lessons. Thus, the release of the New Lessons is indeed a momentous occasion - the seeds of which were planted when Babaji gave the knowledge of Kriya Yoga to Lahiri Mahasaya in the Himalayas - and later, through the turn of events whereby Guruji was trained by Swami Sri Yukteswar as desired by Babaji, to go to the West and spread this message.

He later concluded, by reminding everyone present that when we say "Jai Guru!," it means that we make a promise to Guruji to make him victorious through our effort and practice of His teachings.

All the 600 devotees and guests in attendance were completely absorbed in the satsanga by Swamiji. The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad by the sannyasis and serving of Guru Langar to all. Inspired by the talk, many devotees sought the assistance of the Help Desk volunteers to enrol themselves for the New Lessons.
