Special Satsanga to commemorate Avirbhav Divas of Sri Sri Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri (May 2019)

The Avirbhav Divas celebrations of Swami Sri Yukteswarji drew participation of 14 children in the Children Satsanga at YSS Dhyana Kendra – Gurugram on the morning of May 19, 2019. Stories from Swami Sri Yukteswarji’s life were narrated from the Autobiography of a Yogi.

They were also taught step-by-step meditation which included the Aum chant, praying, singing of Cosmic Chants, the correct posture, breathing exercises, and meditation.

Swami Vasudevananda and Brahmachari Sheelananda partook the prasad with the little ones.

Commemorations of Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya (September 2019)

On the eve of Lahiri Mahashaya’s Avirbhav Divas on September 29, 15 children from Children Satsanga at Gurugram Dhyana Kendra attended the commemoration programme.

During the class, the volunteer shared inspiring incidents from the life of Lahiri Mahasaya. These included meeting of  Lahiri Mahasaya with Mahavatar Babaji in Himalaya and materializing golden palace, how Guruji’s parents became his disciples, how he cured Guruji and others through his picture.

At the close of the programme, they were served prasad during Guru Langar.

Christmas Celebration by Children Satsanga (December 2019)

The Children Satsanga of Gurugram Dhyana Kendra celebrated Christmas on December 22, 2019, with a Christmas meditation, followed by an expression of gratitude to God and Gurus.

After this, children participated in the decoration of the Christmas tree and the altar.

Later, they donned their ‘Santa’ caps and sang some melodious Christmas carols.

Towards the end of the programme, the young participants contemplated on a few things they would like to work upon in the New Year and offered prayers to Guruji’s to help and guide in achieving their goals. At the close of this lovely celebration, cherished by both the children and the volunteers, they had a snacks party. Christmas gifts and sweets were distributed to the children.

Janmotsav Celebrations by Children Satsanga – Gurugram (January 2020)

Around 15 children attended Guruji’s birthday celebrations by Children Satsanga at YSS Gurugram Dhyana Kendra on January 5, 2020. Enthusiastic little ones marked this day with a special meditation including cosmic chants, prayers, visualization, and affirmation.

They shared their thoughts on how blessed they are to have Paramahansa Yoganandaji as their Guru, and also the many ways in which Gurudeva inspires them.

They prepared greeting cards for Guruji pouring out their heartfelt messages for him.
