Dec 20, 2013: Road Named after Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda at Noida

On December 20, 2013, a road in Sector – 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was named Paramhansa Yogananda marg after our beloved Gurudeva Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda. The road naming ceremony was conducted by the Chief Guest, Sri Alok Ranjan, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Dignitaries at the ceremony included Sri Rama Raman, CEO & Chairman of Noida & Greater Noida, And Sri K. N. Bakshi, former Ambassador of India. Swamis Nityananda & Ishwarananda from the YSS Noida Ashram also participated in the function.

Sri Alok Ranjan said that it was a great honour for the Government of Uttar Pradesh & the Noida Authority to name the road after Paramhansa Yoganandaji. The naming was symbolic of the impact Paramhansaji’s teachings have by transforming lives, with each changed individual contributing to the creation of a better & more peaceful world. Paying tribute to Paramhansaji’s ideal life, he said, “Paramhansa Yoganandaji lived solely for God & for God in all. He has inspired millions of people throughout the world to undertake their own journey to the infinite blissful spirit. I feel that Paramhansaji has been one of the greatest saints ever to have walked on this earth.”

Paramhansa Yogananda Marg is a 1.9 Km long road parallel to National Highway 24, adjoining Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram in Sector – 62, Noida – a hub of many prestigious government & private institutions, as well as residential townships.
