Krishna Janamastmi was celebrated for children on August 28, 2016 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon in Ashram Auditorium, which was spruced with grand pictures of Bhagwan Krishna and Gurudeva adorned with colorful garlands and bouquets It was attended by more than 125 children and 75 parents. Swami Vasudevananda and Br Dhairyananda with Pr jatin ji blessed the occasion.
Program was started with lighting of lamp by Sw Vasudevananda followed by opening prayer and chanting. After a short introduction about janamastmi, children from ‘Children Sunday satsanga’ (Junior and senior group as well) and Paramhansa Yogananda Swarnim Bal Vidyalaya presented a cultural program. It was a beautiful blend of Dandiya dance, Poems, simple Geeta summary/ Geeta saar, a well prepared skit on meaning of Sankhya Yoga taught by Bhagwan Krishna and a beautiful Jhanki of great ancient devotees of Krishna presented in colorful and attractive costumes. The program was full of information and fervent. All were fully engrossed and appreciated the performance of the small children who prepared themselves in a very short span of time in the affluent guidance of the volunteers.
Sw Vasudevananda and Br Dhairyananda blessed the audience with their words. Sw vasudevananda marked his appreciation for the wonderful and blissful enactment of little ones showing his inability in finding the words of praise for them. He kept mum and was overwhelmed saying the ambience had become uplifting and inspiring for each one present there. Br Dhairyananda showered his devotional words on the attendees. He told short educative stories worth imprinting on the young minds of the kids.
After the closing prayer, pushpanjali was held. Amidst the vibrant and melodious songs, each one offered the petals of their love and joy at the feet of Krishna.
Chandan Tilak was given to the kids by the monastic. Prasad and small gift hamper filled with cake and cookies were given to the children and they were ushered to the dining hall.
The program filled the audience with soulful joy and engraved in their memory cells forever.
