A beautiful bouquet of programmes was arranged by the Children Satsanga participants and volunteers of YSS Delhi Kendra on the occasion of Janmashtami – which was celebrated on August 27, 2017.
The tiny tots of Children Satsanga presented a dance performance on a song serenading Lord Krishna – Achyutam Keshavam. The spectators swayed to the amazing music and the innocent dance moves of the little children.
The prgramme included a play based on Gurudeva Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganandaji’s life – ‘Two penniless boys in Vrindaban’ – which was beautifully portrayed by the young actors.
The cosmic chant – My Krishna is blue – was soulfully sung by one of the children.
Another play on Geeta Saar was exhibited skillfully by the children.
The function was wrapped up by an extremely thoughtful gift given to the children – an earthen piggy bank. Children were told that the purpose of this gift was to inculcate in them a feeling of helping others. They were advised to save some money which could be given to someone who was in dire need.
At the close of the programme, prasad was distributed to the children.
The programme reflected the spirit of the Children Satsanga initiative – to inculcate deep values and ethics in young ones – which is much-needed and appreciated by devotee parents. As the hives where the beautiful spiritual nectar is churned out for the future generations, these Children Sunday Satsangs draw many participants every weekend.
